Certified Hand Therapy
A Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is an Occupational or Physical Therapist who specializes in the treatment of upper extremities. The CHT title is earned through clinical experience and successful completion of a comprehensive test of advanced clinical skills and knowledge of hand and upper extremity.
Our CHT will evaluate your limitations, pain, and mobility to develop a plan of care to restore function and get you back to your previous level of activity. Similar to physical therapy, Occupational therapists use therapeutic exercise, functional activities, work simulation tasks, and pain modalities as needed to get you back to the activities you love, while teaching you to prevent further problems or re-injury.
