Gulf Coast Therapy not only specializes in physician ordered treatment on a one-on-one level, but also places emphasis on prevention for the total overall health and wellness of our patients. For this, we currently offer therapeutic stretching sessions and yoga classes.

Stretching is vital in preventing injuries and improving performance in sports and everyday activities. Increasing your flexibility can decrease muscle soreness, improve your balance, and generally make you feel better. As you get older, or if injured, your muscles can tighten and get sore and painful. Increasing your flexibility lengthens your muscles, which in turn increases your range of motion. Over time your range of motion will return to its normal function, thus leaving you feeling better and participating in all the activities you enjoy. There are various methods of stretching and your therapist will work with you to find the best method for your health, safety, and wellness. These therapeutic stretching sessions are offered in both of our locations, Fairhope and Foley.

Our therapeutic yoga class is offered only in our Foley location and provides our patients with a path to continued balance of mind, body, and soul. It offers peace and mindfulness to help you get through your daily stress by quieting the mind, opening our hearts, and embracing the essence of life. Yoga will keep you feeling energized, balanced, grounded and aligned, thus promoting inner strength and wellness.
