I began therapy walking on a cane and in severe pain in my right hip. The first day Christina worked with me, I was so much better I could not believe it. After the second treatment, I was walking without a cane. I am now three weeks in treatment and seen once a week. I am so much better I can hardly believe it. What started out to be 10-15 on a pain scale is now barely a 1. Thank you so much girls.
Thanks to the physical therapy care I received at Gulf Coast Therapy, I went from not being able to walk at all after my stroke, to walking unassisted. I also had limited mobility in my left side and a weak left hand. The occupational therapy I received was a blessing in gaining most of my mobility back.
I had dim hopes of being back to what I once was before I was in the hospital, but Ashley, Leslie, Summer and Bee worked hard with me, and pushed me to prevail and overcome. Thank you to the nice ladies at the front desk for your friendliness and assisting with my scheduled appointments.
I am especially impressed by and grateful to all the folks at Gulf Coast Therapy! Before I started physical therapy at Gulf Coast Therapy, I was leading a pretty sedentary life–not by choice, but as a result of a “bad bounce” and subsequent surgery to put a pin in my femur. Due to the amazing expert and extremely encouraging assistance of Ashley, Bee, Christina, and Summer, I have gained a great deal of strength, flexibility, balance, and stamina. I am much more confident and secure about being able to resume the tasks and leisure activities I enjoyed before (including beachcombing, walking my dog, swimming and thinking about walking a 5K in the not too distant future.) During each therapy session I was able to face and overcome new challenges with the support of these knowledgeable, caring professionals, who often added a dose of humor or a verse of spontaneous song to make difficult tasks a bit more fun. Jaye and Stella, who manage the administrative details of the office, certainly contribute to the positive, relaxed atmosphere at Gulf Coast Therapy. Its a great place to come and work on getting your lifestyle back! Thanks so much everyone!
I was very stubborn about attending therapy for my knee injury. Finally, I decided to find some help to relieve the pain and resume a more active life. The Gulf Coast Therapy group soon had me feeling like one of the family. It is a casual and friendly atmosphere that I appreciate very much.
My knee has improved greatly! I have an issue with my neck mobility. I trust that this group will solve this and any future issues that may arise. I highly recommend Gulf Coast Therapy to feel better and stronger.
I had a torn ACL and Meniscus surgery and went to GCT to take care of my rehab. They did an excellent job getting me back in shape before my F.M.L.A. stopped. The staff is very professional and really know their job. We worked extra hard on getting the knee back in shape. I am very happy with the work they did. I was guided and trained to do extra work at home. The people are friendly and very good. I would recommend anyone who needs rehab to go there. I want to tell them all thank you.
I was extremely dubious of the value of physical therapy. I had what I felt was pain in the 5-6/10 range in my left knee and hip. And immediately before starting physical therapy my lower back began hurting. The pain was not letting me get a full nights sleep and never a fully comfortable sleep. After the first three sessions, I was sleeping all night and awakening with little or no lingering pain. I can only hope the results continue.
When I first began therapy, my right hand was very sore but most of all very stiff. I had previous experience since I had my left hand done three years ago. I didn’t have therapy then so I am glad I agreed to do therapy on my right hand. I can tell its going to make a big difference in the day to day use (ability to have a normal hand) of my hand. The varied exercises and therapies will make a huge difference in my quality of life. Many thanks to Leslie Davis, Cindy and the staff of GCT for assisting me in my successful recovery from surgery.
I came in January for some therapy to help with a torn meniscus and it seemed to help but I still needed surgery. I came to therapy in a lot of pain after surgery and they worked with me to slowly build up my strength. Now I am feeling great! Ashley, Bee and Summer are awesome therapists who are very patient and helpful with all my exercises. For my first physical therapy, this by far has been a great experience. I will recommend to everyone. Thanks for everything!
Gulf Coast Therapy has helped me not just in therapy for a total shoulder replacement, but also for bone density. In the months I have been in therapy, the severe pain in my joints has almost completely stopped. I was late starting therapy because of problems with my health insurance, but they took up the slack and helped solve that problem too. I am grateful to Gulf Coast Therapy. The therapists are dedicated, professional and their goal is to achieve 100 percent for their patients. Today, I graduate therapy and I have been here for months, but I will miss everyone who worked with me. I recommend them highly.
My range of motion has improved more than I had expected. I am able to do certain things with my left thumb that previously had given me great difficulty. I have learned how to use my thumb instead of avoiding using it because of previous pain. I am relearning to use my thumb by doing things that I would not normally do because of previous pain. It has tremendously helped me feel more confident about trying new things which in turn has helped me reach a higher goal. The staff at Gulf Coast Therapy are very professional and have instilled knowledge for me to continue to improve.
